RIN OOZORA
(b.1988, Thai Nguyen, Vietnam)
Lives and works between France and Vietnam.
Rin Oozora is a Vietnamese artist and fashion designer whose practice explores the intersection of art, fashion, and cultural storytelling. With a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and sustainability, she transforms discarded materials into new narratives, reinterpreting traditional elements through a contemporary lens.
Her work has been shaped by a cross-cultural journey between East and West, drawing inspiration from both Vietnamese heritage and modern artistic expression. Rooted in the philosophy of renewal, Rin's creations—ranging from handcrafted fashion pieces to fine art prints—embody a sense of timelessness and impermanence. Through her project “Rewoven Dream” she breathes new life into fabric remnants, crafting unique, story-driven designs that bridge sustainability with artistry.
In addition to fashion, Rin explores digital painting and contemporary storytelling. Her “Ensō series”, inspired by Zen philosophy, reimagines the iconic circle through organic forms like lotus petals and seed pods, merging minimalism with profound symbolism. She is also developing illustrated picture books for Western audiences, blending poetic imagery with Eastern aesthetics.
By working across disciplines, Rin Oozora challenges conventional boundaries between art and design, crafting a world where tradition and innovation coexist harmoniously.
